Job Description
Position Overview
As a Senior Manager, Origination, you will be responsible for driving the Invenergy Origination team’s relationship with the marketplace and its customers and execution of offtake arrangements (Power Purchase Agreements (PPAS), Build Transfer Agreements, and Development Transfer Agreements). The ideal candidate will possess the ability to stay keenly organized, communicate clearly within multiple facets of the organization, and have a natural curiosity to comprehend the broader picture of what it takes to build a renewable project. This role would be an ideal growth opportunity for an ambitious self-starter looking to help fuel the growth of one of the most dynamic and entrepreneurial companies in the industry.
Responsibilities
Maintain relationships with customers, overseeing deliverables with customers (proposals, presentations, etc.) and driving strategy of what customers need.
Identify new origination prospects and implement an outreach strategy for all products and technologies under development, with a focus on executing Power Purchase Agreements, Build Transfer Agreements, and Development Transfer Agreements
Coordinate with development, finance, engineering and other departments to develop solutions for customers, including assisting in the development of proposals and pricing for opportunities
Originate and assist with structuring and closing large wholesale power transactions in coordination with Commercial Transactions team
Develop and implement customer and market strategies
Develop and maintain strong customer and business relationships
Prepare and deliver internal and external presentations, webinars, etc.
Maintain CRM software with latest status on outreach efforts
Required
Bachelor's degree in related field
At least 6-10+ years of relevant professional experience
Eligible to work in the United States without the need for employer visa sponsorship now or in the future.
Preferred
MBA (or similar advanced degree preferred)
Direct strategy of origination team and related groups to respond to customers and create opportunities with customers for Invenergy's pipeline
Deep knowledge of power markets especially the WECC market and its customers and associated transactions
Manage direct reports (analysts and associates) to support origination efforts
Coordinate with Development, Finance, Engineering, Legal and other departments in order to prepare exhibits and other documentation to the commercial transaction
Renewable development experience preferred
Manage contracting process from creation of opportunities to execution of contracts and effectiveness of the contracts
Able to Represent Invenergy at conference events with customers and industry participants
Ability to travel up to 50% of the time
Salary Range
$147,000 - $173,000
