Description
We are hiring a Bookkeeper to join our client, a non-profit organization with a rich history spanning more than 50 years and founded to address the critical need for family and marriage counseling in our community. Originating as a response to the limited options available at the time, they have evolved into the oldest marriage and family therapy organization, distinguished by their focus on relationships. This opportunity is coming available due to a retirement and the incoming team member will have an opportunity to acclimate and train with the retiree.
The Bookkeeper holds a key role within this small but mighty team. Responsibilities will include:
Bookkeeping: Manage day-to-day financial transactions using QuickBooks. Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records. Monthly balance sheet and profit-loss statement creation. Track and record grants related to general services
Payroll: Process payroll accurately and on time.
Billing and Insurance: Handle client fees, set up auto-billing for copays, and manage insurance billing.
Board Meetings: Attend quarterly board meetings, sending notices, and taking minutes. Prepare the quarterly board book, including investment statements and fund reports.
Deposits and Bank Reconciliation: Capture deposits from insurance companies and reconcile with daily bank statements.

Requirements
