Osborn Consulting is looking for aMicrostation Lead / Drafter to join our Transportation Drainage Practice. This position will provide support to stormwater management and drainage design on large roadway/transit and fish passage improvement projects around the Puget Sound region.AboutYouOur ideal candidate will work collaboratively with project managers, stormwater/drainage engineers, and other technicians to lead and/or support projects, produce high-quality deliverables, and make an impact in the community.We are looking for someone with:5+ years of drafting/design experience in civil engineering field (additional coursework or college degree may reduce the experience required).Strong knowledge of industry standards and practices in the areas of Computer Aided Design and Drafting (CADD) and Bentley applications particularly MicroStation, InRoads, and ProjectWise.Experience working on large PS&E projects.Excellent client service skills and attention to detail.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.Ability to thrive and make an impact in a fast-paced environment: assertive, resourceful, and a collaborative team member.To thrive in this position, you may also have these qualifications:Experience with WSDOT guidelines / procedures / plan preparation.Experience with AutoCAD, AutoCAD Civil3D, Open Roads.Knowledge of GIS terminology and experience importing GIS and LIDAR datafor use in design.About the PositionIn this role, you will work with a highly collaborative team of engineers and civil technicians to:Set up project design files, produce project drawings, and electronically deliver them to the client.Prepare, participate in the development of, and manage civil engineering drawings during the planning, permitting, design, and construction phases.Work closely with Project Managers and engineers to obtain project information to ensure drawings are accurate and completed on time and within allocated budgets.Coordinate with the Osborn Consulting Design Technology Manager and CADD Manager to implement project CAD standards, setup, and execution.Coordinate closely with Clients and their CADD teams to determine project CADD requirements, assist in establishing standards for projects, and support project managers to help drive a successful project.Provide feedback and ideas related to improving CADD workflow and standards.Mentor project staff as needed.Provide QA/QC of Microstation/InRoads drawings and design files as required.AboutOsbornOsborn Consulting is an employee-owned consulting firmprovidingcivil engineering, landscape architecture, and urban designonpublic projects across Washington state.
