- We create innovative solutionsThe Senior Manager of Revenue Cycle is responsible for all insurance and managed care billing, follow up, and collections across multiple entities. Also responsible for updating and monitoring RCM standard operating policies and procedures, streamlining processes, and assisting with implementing new billing, follow up, and analytical management solutions. Reports to the Senior Director of Revenue Cycle.
Responsibilities
Essential Job Functions:
- Manage the Billing, AR Follow Up, and Managed Care teams to include training and development, coaching, counseling, and performance management.
- Continuously evaluate the effectiveness of operational procedures and controls to maximize departmental productivity and minimize errors.
- Develops and implements billing guidelines and policies. Ensures daily billing and cash collections processes are compliant with regulatory requirements.
- As needed, assists with the development and implementation of revenue cycle strategies and workflows that will enhance cash collections, expedite account resolution, and streamline billing processes.
- Attends workshops, seminars and/or conferences to keep abreast of standards and best practices within the field. Disseminates information to colleagues and/or staff as appropriate.
- Establishes and/or maintains operational benchmarks, metrics, and productivity standards and identify improvement opportunities.
- Utilizes financial reports and dashboards to develop action plans aimed at maintaining or improving financial and/or operational performance.
- Analyzes data to enhance revenue opportunities.
- Develops, implements, and manages quality control and audit procedures to monitor the timeliness and effectiveness of revenue cycle activities.
- Liaison between the Revenue Cycle and Finance departments. Interfaces with both as necessary to facilitate the account reconciliation process and write offs as necessary.
- Communicates insurance payment and denial trends. Drive escalations to quick resolutions, partnering with cross functional business units such as Compliance, Legal, Payor Relations, Credentialing, IT, Finance and Field Operations.
- Manage the implementation of new products and processes and optimizes existing systems to improve collection efforts.
- Responsible for the development and coaching of all direct reports. Establishes weekly meetings, I-coach goals, annual evaluations and provides feedback on progress.
- Prioritize and assigns team workload in accordance with corporate objectives and reporting requirements.
- Meets department and individual productivity, quality standards, and key performance metrics and cash collection goals.
- Adherence to standards, policies and procedures measured by Key Performance Indicators.
- Comply with HIPAA and HearingLife guidelines.

QualificationsEducation and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred.
- 5+ years of supervisory experience
- Strong leadership skills and experience managing teams of account representatives.
- Demonstrated project management and process improvement skills.
- Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, commercial insurers, related regulations, billing codes, specifically of diagnostic and procedural terminology, ICD and CPT/HCPCS coding systems, licensing, and compliance rules, as well as audits.
- Proven ability to solve problems and implement programs to address complex needs
- Advanced Excel skills, comprehensive knowledge in Microsoft Office suite
- Strong technical skills - practice management experience; experience with Microsoft AX and Waystar helpful.
