Overview:
In this role the Sr Lead Engineer will actively drive the design and development of test equipment, review or create test engineering artifacts, support estimate preparation and guide junior engineers on test equipment design and development
In performing these activities, the Sr Lead engineer will interface with customers, external suppliers, project managers, engineering managers, mechanical, software, electrical, and systems engineers, as well as the manufacturing organization and report to Test Engineering technical manager.

Primary Responsibilities:
Support the engineering organizations in new business pursuits, including customer technical visits, preparation of estimates and RFQ responses
Direct and support development of test equipment electrical, mechanical, and software specifications from test system requirements.
Manage requirements tracking
Design and develop test equipment software using LabVIEW as per design specification
Drive trade studies, prototype creation, simulation for critical design concepts
Review/ create test equipment design drawings, schematics, BoM and assembly instructions for ATE
Develop verification and validation procedures for ATE to ensure system will perform as specified to meet customer and system requirements.
Develop systems integration plan and drive cross-functional team efforts in integration, verification, validation and commissioning of test equipment
Lead the development of Automatic Test Equipment (ATE) from conception through implementation
Review test engineering artifacts like design documents, test plan, user manual and related documents
Communicate technical issues through written, verbal and presentation media
Share best practices in test engineering within the team
Skill Sets:
Experience of programming in high-level languages like LabVIEW, LabVIEW RT, LabVIEW FPGA, LabVIEW-OOPS, Veristand
Optionally qualified to either a National Instruments CLD or CLA
Experience in Test equipment hardware including component selection, review of electrical drawings, schematics and assembly drawings
Hands on experience on various test and measurement equipment like NI hardware, third party Data Acquisition Systems, DSO, DMM, Analyser, signal generators etc.
Knowledge in communications protocols like Serial, Ethernet, CAN and ARINC
Experience in usage of tools for requirements management, configuration control, project server, MS OFFICE
Ability to identify problems, support root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions
Familiarity with tools like AutoCAD, OrCAD, pSPICE and MS Visio preferable
Basic Qualifications:
Qualification: - BE / B-Tech / ME / M-Tech Electrical/ Electronics/Instrumentation Engineering
