JOB TITLE: Senior Lead Data Engineer LOCATION: 11000 Optum Circle, Eden Prairie, MN 55344 (Telecommuting available from anywhere in the U.S.) DUTIES: Develop and implement a set of techniques or analytics applications to transform raw data into meaningful information using data-oriented programming languages and visualization software. Duties to include: Build data pipelines by consuming various data sources and build workflow, get it scheduled to run on stipulated timelines and frequencies; Data quality check on the transferred data; Develop and manage technology solutions and identify new technology approaches to solve the business problems with a strong focus on leveraging enterprise data; Consult with internal customer teams; Manage internal engagements, meeting project and deliverable timelines, ensuring the accurate and timely completion of deliverables; Deploy and oversee end-to end analytical and data technology capabilities; Collaborate with analytics practitioners, business analysts and methodologists to design and oversee and development of working prototypes of technical solutions; Coordinate with the report analyst and understanding there needs for analysis; and Interact with the offshore team members and business users (Owners) in the daily calls for the project updates Telecommuting available from anywhere in the U.S. REQUIREMENTS: Employer will accept a Master s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Management or a related field and two (2) years of experience in the job offered or a related computer occupation. Position requires two (2) years of experience in the following: building heavy duty data pipelines consuming data from various sources, with various transformation and data quality steps; Java and Scala programming languages; BigData technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, Hive, or HBase; solution design and issue resolution; and agile based development, scrum calls, and assign story points.
