Position Description:
CGI is seeking a self-motivated Senior KYC Officer to act as a subject matter expert in the execution, maintenance, and implementation of KYC rules and policies. The individual will demonstrate an understanding of Enterprise Investment Bank operations, products, and services. Collaboration with internal teams and clients is essential to ensure effective application of all KYC policies and adherence to compliance information and documentation. The role includes maintaining comprehensive records, with a major goal of continuous improvement in all KYC processes and services, considering the impact of technology.
This role presents an opportunity for a proactive individual to contribute to the continuous improvement of KYC processes and services within CGI's Enterprise Investment Bank operations.
This role can be performed from CGI offices located in NY, NY/New Brunswick, NJ/Plymouth Meeting, PA/Hartford, CT/Cary, NC, New York, NY.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
• Ensure compliance and reliability of all data, documents, and information collected during the Due Diligence process.
• Align the level of due diligence with the final risk level of the client relationship.
• Fulfill local regulatory requirements related to the KYC case.
• Consult with Compliance for opinion on financial security risk triggers.
• Prepare a memo substantiating the KYC analysis review.
• Submit the file for Relationship Manager's final sign-off.
• Organize the Client Acceptance Committee (CAC) as needed.
• Escalate any unusual or changing activity to compliance and business units.
• Handle sensitive and confidential information in accordance with firm policies.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
• 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience conducting KYC policies.
• General knowledge of Bank Secrecy Act, US Patriot Act, and OFAC.
• General knowledge of the financial industry and products, including awareness of various types of corporate entities.
• Ability to comprehend and interpret complex organizational and corporate structures.
• Previous experience in a control function with a control mind-set.
• Knowledge of AML/KYC operational processes.
• Strong EXCEL skills (Macro, VBA, and/or coding skills).
• Knowledge of AML/KYC-related regulatory rules.
• Knowledge of financial security screening (sanctions, political exposed persons, negative news) is preferred.
• Experience using databases and vendors for KYC (e.g., Orbis, World-Check, Lexis/Nexis, Dow Jones, Avox, PRIME) is a plus.
• Accurate skills in facilitating account opening processes.
• Self-motivated with exceptional organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently, effectively under pressure, and meet deadlines.
• Strong problem-solving skills.

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to: skills level; experience and training; and licensure and certifications. CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate for this type of position of the current range of $55,600 - $130,500
