As a Senior Investment Consultant, you are responsible for supporting branch business development and client loyalty goals by providing an exceptional client experience for leads/prospects and clients. The Senior Investment Consultant proactively works with potential clients to address their financial needs and to help them achieve financial fitness. The consultant engages prospects in needs-based dialogue to gain a thorough understanding of their needs and to position the appropriate TD Ameritrade products and services. The Senior Investment Consultant will also partner with Marketing to host events for prospects and existing clients. The consultant reaches out to prospects primarily through outbound calling, but also can communicate with clients in face-to-face meetings, workshops, inbound calls, emails, faxes and hard copy correspondence. In doing so, the consultant will perform regulated activities and ensure full compliance with policies, standards, guidelines, and procedures.
What you'll do:
Utilize a relationship-based approach to effectively assess client needs and introduce relevant TD Ameritrade services to clients as appropriate. Generate client activity through proactive outbound telephone calls, appointments, walk-ins, workshops and client events, with a goal of deepening existing core client relationships and engaging in developing new ones. Engage with customers and provide updates on market movements and assist with educating clients on trading functionality across a range of products, for example; securities, ETFs, options and futures. Provide exceptional client experiences that build client loyalty, and result in additional asset consolidation and referrals. Demonstrate and encourage collaboration and teamwork with partners across the firm. Support local marketing and branding efforts through client workshops, events, and unique market growth opportunities. Adhere to compliance/risk policies and procedures. Responsible for understanding and complying with applicable policies/procedures and applying ethical standards to every business activity in which they engage. Maintain the highest ethical standards in the conduct of their business activities and professional dealings and to avoid even the appearance of impropriety.
What you have
MAS registered in regulated activities FINRA Series 7 license preferred (optional not mandatory) 5 - 10+ years industry experience preferred in Brokerage, Asset Management & Banking Demonstrated managerial experience in leading and motiving small teams Proven success with needs-based selling and coaching Attention to detail, ability to prioritize effectively and work with minimal supervision is important Excellent written and oral communication Enthusiastic team player with a positive attitude and an ability to take initiative Fluent in English Degree holder in Business, Finance, Economics or related degree/discipline CFA or CFP preferred
