Summary of Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Full-time, tenure track position to begin August 2024.
The ideal candidate will be a crop scientist. The successful candidate will be expected to teach a course load of 12 hours per semester, including courses such as Crop Science, Integrated Pest Management, and other courses as needed. The successful candidate will teach undergraduate and graduate courses in agronomy and develop new courses that will enhance the current Agronomy curriculum. Public service and research activities, student advising, preparing student teams for competition, advising agronomy club, developing a positive rapport with regional agronomy firms will be required. The successful candidate will participate in research and scholarly activities, serve on committees, support quality graduate programs, and support the Hutson School of Agriculture. The successful candidate will be intricately involved with the university research farms as well as industry collaborations.
Minimum Education Requirements:
Ph.D. in Agronomy or related field required. ABDs with a documented plan of completion by appointment date will be considered.
Minimum Experience and Skill Requirements:
Documented successful teaching experience required.
