  Job Description

  Our thriving, multidisciplinary Water team are looking for Senior Hydraulic Modellers with experience in water recycling (wastewater) network modelling to join our growing teams within Manchester, Chesterfield and Leeds offices.

  Our modelling community provides technical services into a broad range of water resources and water engineering projects across the UK from project appraisal and business case development, through design to operation, maintenance and asset management. We are an industry leader in the application of Blue-Green infrastructure and nature-based solutions and we also advise and develop guidance which benchmarks industry best practice, meaning AECOM is at the cutting edge in the Water industry.

  In this role, you will be responsible for leading the technical delivery of network modelling projects across the UK. We envisage that you will use your experience to lead on the implementation of modelling best practice, develop robust technical approaches for the delivery of modelling projects, and will take ownership of delivery of these projects to ensure that they are completed to a high standard.

  We take pride in supporting our team with opportunities to broaden their range of technical experience across different Water disciplines, as well as taking on responsibilities for project management, line management and business development.   Primary Responsibilities

  Technically lead and deliver water recycling (wastewater) network modelling projects including model build and flow survey verification and the use of models for catchment investigations, optioneering and solution development.

  Undertake quality assurance of technical work within your area of expertise.

  Mentor and support the development of junior colleagues.

  Take ownership of project delivery through supporting the management of project programmes, budgets and quality assurance procedures.

  Take a proactive approach to managing client relationships and expectations.

  Engage with wider business lines to develop and strengthen internal AECOM cross-sector working relationships.

  Assist with the preparation of bids and proposals.

  Qualifications

  Degree (or equivalent) in Engineering, Geography, Environmental Science or another related discipline.

  Practical experience in the application of hydraulic modelling techniques within the UK water industry, specifically InfoWorks ICM.

  A track record of leading the successful delivery of water projects in the UK, including liaison with private/public sector clients and regulators.

  Chartered or progressing towards chartership with ICE or CIWEM.
