　　POSITION

　　Define the medium and long-term direction of Vitesco Technologies to achieve clean, sustainable mobility through technical scouting and research / advanced development.

　　▪ Belonging to Technology & Innovation Japan Team.

　　▪ Key Task1 - Support making strategic recommendation & advanced development project planning;

　　Tech scouting of New Power Semiconductors (Wide-band gap materials) for Next generation Power Electronics development.

　　Project planning for benchmarking to derive basic requirements for future products/systems while acquiring new knowledges.

　　Execution of planned benchmark projects with the global team.

　　▪ Key Task2 - Tech scouting for not only semiconductors but also other ground-breaking innovation technologies, and evaluate trend-signals with global team.

　　AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY / TASKS

　　▪Collect signals of industrial trends from surrounding system of the automotive powertrain in the Japanese market.

　　▪Evaluate trends with Vitesco Technologies' global team to assess the impact, maturity and relevance for Vitesco Technologies.

　　▪Identify future business opportunities and derive basic requirements for the future products/systems development.

　　▪Analyze the gap between the technical roadmap what Vitesco Technologies currently has and the future business opportunities, and make a recommendation to internal stakeholders.

　　▪Proactively work with external & Internal experts. (incl. External associations / Institutes)

　　▪Create a project proposal in emerging technology areas based on the benchmark and the tech scouting.

　　▪ Design and develop architectures and subsystems for future automotive powertrains.

　　▪ Develop prototypes/Proof of Concept to verify selected products/systems in the early phase of development.

　　REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE (Technical, Specialized, and/or Methodical)

　　Business understanding - Automotive powertrain field (Advance)

　　Project management, process management and quality (Basic)

　　Expertise in Technical marketing for Electric Electronics and Power Semiconductor - Advanced engineering (Expert)

　　English (Fluent in Japanese language) - TOEIC 700< (Advance)

　　REQUIRED EXPERIENCE (Minimum)

　　University graduates or equivalent, more than 5 years of experiences for working in automotive industry or working for automotive applications in semiconductor industry.

　　Electrical engineer who has experience of designing/evaluating power electronics units in which power semiconductor is implemented (e.g. Inverter, DCDC)

　　Experience of evaluating new technologies in benchmark projects to develop strategic recommendations for next generation products/systems development.

　　Experience of working with overseas departments for advanced engineering activities or working with external R&D institutes / universities.
