　　The Information Security team at Akamai is responsible for safeguarding Akamai, its customers, and the Internet worldwide. We are looking for a seasoned individual to lead our enterprise Global Security Operations Center.

　　Shape internet security

　　In this role, you will enhance, innovate, and lead the Akamai Global SOC functions and operations.The ideal candidate will have outstanding automation and a strategic vision on how to gather and analyze data across our vast platform to flag potentially malicious activity.

　　As a leading member of the security leadership team, you will:

　　Leading the Global Security Operations Center, managing team of security operations to identify and respond to threats

　　Building out global visibility into our systems and application, overseeing the collection of security telemetry for analysis and alerting

　　Developing and build threat hunting capabilities to help with threat identification, response, and prevention

　　Implementing updates and improvements to response processes and procedures. You will also oversee the orchestration and automation of security response activities

　　Serving as a partner with variou teams across the organization to understand the telemetry needed from across all of our production and corporate networks

　　Defining a strategic vision for monitoring and analysis of incidents to protect people, technology, and processes, and resolve escalation where necessary

　　Managing real-time monitoring and responses to incidents impacting Akamai and oversee post-mortem process, including investigation of root causes and business impact.

　　Providing guidance and leadership into the Information Security vision and strategy, industry developments and best practices

　　To be successful in this role you will:

　　Demonstrate strategic ability to design and implement complex technology solutions

　　Demonstrate the leadership ability to attract, recruit, and retain a diverse workforce of security experts

　　Possess an executive presence and the ability to manage partnerships with senior technical leaders, business stakeholders, and key vendors

　　Possess an empathetic and collaborative leadership style to support a dynamic team of dedicated professionals under a shared mission

　　Have experience building or leading a SOC for a large environment, on a global scale

　　Have experience with security technologies including network infrastructure, data protection, endpoint security, application security, enterprise logging,and forensics

　　Possess experience managing a threat-hunting capability

　　Have experience in applying advanced anomaly detection and machine-learning techniques to the security field
