POSITION SUMMARY:
The Director, Global Operations Infrastructure and Special Projects is responsible for ensuring efficient functioning of Hach’s Global facilities (commercial and manufacturing), delivering cost savings through Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VAVE) and providing oversight for related global project execution and project management. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in complex project management, facility management, equipment maintenance, manufacturing transfer and a proactive approach to ensuring a safe and productive working environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for ensuring continuity of Hach’s global facilities footprint through, planning, cross-functional leadership and project management across manufacturing, distribution, commercial and research and development facilities.
Plan and manage critical projects in support of an optimized global operations footprint, including but not limited to line transfers, product transfers, new acquisition integrations, major facility enhancements/upgrades, etc...
Manage the deployment of footprint plans using project management, leveraging cross-functional collaboration and including process improvement initiatives.
Review and approve facility plans and audits to address ongoing needs of operation, compliance with governing rules, regulations and leasehold requirements and ensure minimized exposure to environmental risk and hazards.
Serve as an integral member of the operations due diligence and integration team.
Collaborate with local plant leadership on assembly line transfers and/or the installation of new capital equipment or deployment of capital investments in line with optimizing the way Hach delivers to our customers.
Partner with the VP of Operations in development and execution of Hach’s global Operations/Manufacturing strategy.
Develop and monitor international project roadmaps and ensure resources are available to support and achieve our objectives.
Work closely with the President, VP, Global Operations, Director, Operations Business Transformation, Hach CFO, VP, Research and Development, Legal and HR on the most sensitive of matters related to business transformation.
Responsible for the deployment, maintenance, support and upgrade of all facilities making up Hach’s global facilities footprint.
Identify continuous improvement opportunities within facilities while lowering cost to serve initiatives.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration, Management, or a related field.
15+ years combined experience in business management, global project management, manufacturing and operations or leading transformation projects required. Experience level can be reduced to 12 years in case of master’s level education.
Minimum 5 years leading global projects or teams including past people leadership experience.
PMP and/or significant experience in lean, VES or project management tools, processes and methodology.
PREFERRED SKILLS:
Experience in change management, integrations or consulting, either internally or externally Knowledge and skills:
Demonstrated positive track record building strong working relationships with other leaders across the organization and navigating proficiently across various organizational levels.
Able to build consensus among diverse groups of stakeholders – highly skilled at facilitating resolution across functions and departments.
Excellent analytical, strategic conceptual thinking and consulting skills with a deep understanding of current and emerging Industry trends and how to deliver scale in a high growth organization.
Excellent influencing and engagement skills in building alignment and accountability without formal ownership or authority over resources in a Matrix environment.
Travel Required: As per job requirements, typically 35%
The salary for this role is $210,000. This is what we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in Colorado. This range may be modified in the future.
This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
