Overview
The Senior Director Enterprise Services role will lead a high-performing team that thinks “products” vs. “projects” and is highly customer and supplier-focused. The role is both a proven Business Leader and a proven IT leader who possesses the ability to fully leverage new and existing technology platforms with a focus on meeting internal customers', external customers' business objectives.
Specialized Skills and Technologies
Experience managing large / multiple enterprise development teams that support B2B / B2C applications
Experience in application development, fullstack & support of Java/J2ee applications on an enterprise scale, online platforms.
Strong knowledge in enterprise tools and technologies such as Messaging platforms, Identity and Access Management Services, Java, JavaScript technologies such as NodeJS, React
Experience in programming and framework such as Java, Spring Boot, NodeJS, JavaScript / Type Script, Docker / Containerization
Experience in digital transformation initiatives, Cloud Migration, Microservices architecture
Experience in working with commerce platforms such as SAP Hybris / Oracle ATG / others platforms is desirable
Good knowledge and understanding of IT Infrastructure, Network, Linux / Unix
Experience in developing and deploying applications in Cloud such as Microsoft Azure (preferable), AWS or GCP
Experience in working with Docker / Containerization, AKS or similar container orchestration platforms, Serverless, Event Driven architecture etc.
Strong knowledge in Microservices Architecture, Event Driven, CI/CD Pipelines, Quality Gates etc.
Primary Responsibilities
Lead and grow Enterprise service development teams to deliver business capabilities for critical ordering platforms in SGWS
Develop strategic plans for acquiring and enabling efficient and cost-effective information processing tools and products supporting the commerce platforms
Develops forward looking multi year strategic roadmap for enterprise services to align with overall org roadmap and cross functional team strategy
Define, communicate and review project milestones and service level agreements
Drive optimization of solutions through an understanding of business needs and technology capabilities
Manage vendor performance and relationships to effectively meet business objectives
Manage IT staffing, recruitment, supervision, development, guide and nurture the team
Collaborate with client application teams / order platform owners, Business Owners, prioritize the features, plan and deliver the services and enhancements
Serve as techno-function SME in building and maintaining fast, reliable, secure and durable production applications / systems
Champion, modernize and build programs, software solutions, process innovations and metrics that drive continuous improvements to reliability & resiliency
Establish engineering standards and best practices, automate and enforce it
Direct and Coach his direct reports
Lead meetings and able to articulate the message clearly to the Executive team
Conduct performance reviews and provide feedback to direct reports
Envision a set of enterprise services needed over a time-horizon, aligned with business functional needs (e.g., digital products and initiatives)
Work in tandem with security teams to ensure designs are compliant with the security standards and practices
Closely interact with executive leadership of IT and Business for strategic discussions and to provide executive status on the initiatives driven by Enterprise Services
Additional Primary Responsibilities
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree and formal education in relevant disciplines (Business, Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, Mathematics, or relevant degree; master’s degree preferred)
12+ years of business technology leadership/management role
Proficient in building and managing platform services, software development life cycle, and DevSecOps methodologies
Knowledge of architectural standards and blueprints
Ability to understand and implement strategic alignment of technical services with enterprise objectives
Effective communication skills, team coordination, stakeholder management, and leadership capabilities
