The Opportunity
We are seeking a Senior Data Analyst to join our Firm. In this position, you will be responsible for analyzing complex datasets, generating useful metrics and insights to enabling data-driven decision making, and assist in the development and improvement of AI/ML models, algorithms and related data set preparation. Additionally, this role will work closely with stakeholders to help better understand business problems and develop solutions through the application of data analysis. This position will be based in our New York office and has a hybrid in-office/remote working schedule. Please note that the Firm will not sponsor applicants for work visas for this position.
Create visualizations and reports to communicate data-driven insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholdersUtilize data visualization tools and libraries to present complex data in a clear and compelling mannerFulfill complex ad hoc queries, analysis, and reporting requestsIdentify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data setsCollaborate with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, domain experts, and business stakeholders, to understand requirements and align solutions with business objectivesCollaborate with cross-functional teams to help optimize and refine models and strategiesDevelop and maintain related documentationExplore, experiment, and apply Generative AI and Machine Learning techniques to solve complex problems and create innovative solutionsEngineer prompt and fine tuning strategies to improve Generative AI outcomesImplement data preprocessing techniques to clean, normalize, and augment datasets for model trainingCommunicate effectively to non-technical stakeholders regarding model outcomes and potential applicationsStay current with the latest research in Data Analysis and related AI technologies and techniques
Qualifications
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, and SQL for data analysis and modelingMastery of Microsoft Office programs, in particular ExcelStrong knowledge of data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Matplotlib)Solid understanding of statistical analysis and experimental designExcellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional teamDemonstrate effective interpersonal and communication skills, both verbally and in writing; ability to convey complex findings and insights to non-technical stakeholdersExperience implementing large language models, prompt engineering and related fine tuning practicesFamiliarity with LangChain, LLAMAIndex, Foundation model tuning, Data Augmentation, and Performance Evaluation frameworksExperience implementing data preprocessing techniques to clean, normalize, and augment datasets for generative model training and/or machine learning workloads.Demonstrate close attention to detailExcellent analytical, troubleshooting, organizational, and planning skillsAbility to handle multiple projects and shifting prioritiesAbility to handle sensitive matters and maintain confidentialityAbility to organize and prioritize workAbility to work well in a demanding and fast-paced environmentAbility to work well independently as well as effectively within a teamAbility to use discretion and exercise independent and sound judgmentMaintains knowledge of current technologies, relevant industry direction(s), and best practicesFlexibility to adjust hours and work the hours necessary to meet operating and business needs
Education and Experience
Bachelor's Degree, preferably in the field of Information Systems/Data Analytics or equivalent experienceMinimum of 5 years as a Data Analysis and/ or proven experience as a Data Analyst, with a strong portfolio showcasing successful data-driven projects

The starting base salary for this position is expected to be within the range listed under Salary Details. Actual salary will be determined based on skills, experience (to the extent relevant) and other-job related factors, consistent with applicable law.
