About Senior Counsel – International Regulatory Compliance

  Description

  Leidos has an immediate opening for an Attorney with strong background in International Regulatory Compliance to join our Corporate Legal team at our Reston, VA headquarters. We are looking for an Attorney with experience handling international regulatory compliance matters to include international anti-corruption compliance and international trade compliance. The position will work closely with various members of the legal, ethics and compliance, contracts, procurement, internal audit, and accounting/finance departments, as well as various line organization functions and personnel focused on international business.

  This is a hybrid role with partial telework flexibility but you must live in the DC Metro area for regular visits to Reston, VA headquarters.

  Responsibilities:

  Assist with due diligence reviews and assessments of international business opportunities and activities, and the retention and supervision of third parties to support international business, to ensure compliance with international anti-corruption laws and regulations.

  Conduct Corporate International Regulatory Compliance group self-assessments.

  Support enterprise-wide International Anti-Bribery/Anti-Corruption training by managing outreach and maintaining the currency of training materials.

  Advise on all aspects of government and commercial contracts law formation and performance.

  Interact with other attorneys and internal clients on various legal counseling activities.

  Undertake special projects and support other compliance program initiatives.

  Required Qualifications:

  A Juris Doctor (or equivalent) from an accredited law school and a member in good standing of a US state bar.

  Minimum of 4-6 years of experience (law firm, in-house, or government agency) in legal field, including prior experience in international regulatory compliance matters.

  In-depth understanding of International Anti-Bribery/Anti-Corruption compliance and enforcement matters for multinational companies, particularly those operating in aerospace, defense, services, life sciences, and technology.

  In-depth understanding of FCPA books and records and internal controls requirements.

  Experience with third party due diligence requirements and prevailing due diligence standards; third party and transactional red flag identification and mitigation; compliance program design, drafting modifications to policies and procedures, and periodic reviews/assessments; gift and hospitality reviews; development and implementation of training.

  Experience supporting internal investigations into allegations of misconduct.

  Strong organizational and recordkeeping skills.

  Desired Qualifications:

  Prior experience with government contracting and/or at a defense, technology, IT, or aerospace company.

  Familiarity with working in non-U.S. markets.

  Pay Range:

  Pay Range $101,400.00 - $183,300.00

Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
