　　Responsibilities

　　Maintain and analyse product costing and related variances for the Stratford and Fergus operations.

　　Review BOM’s and monthly inventory transactions for accuracy.

　　Maintain cycle count system and follow up on significant variances.

　　Responsible for developing the proposed changes to the standard material, direct labour and overhear rates.

　　Responsible for developing the proposed manufacturing budget as part of the annual Plan process.

　　Coordinate and complete the annual cost roll.

　　Work with other departments to maintain accurate manufacturing costs and inventory.

　　Create and distribute reports that monitor the manufacturing activities against forecast, Plan and prior year.

　　Work with other departments to identify, develop and implement improvements to the product and manufacturing costs.

　　Assist with the monthly accounting period close activities with timely and accurate reporting thru journal entries and analysis of variances to Plan & forecast .

　　Qualifications

　　Thorough knowledge of cost accounting using a standard cost system

　　Experience developing financial manufacturing reports and metrics

　　Interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact with various management levels

　　Strong Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills. Knowledge of SAP an asset.

　　Superior attention to detail.

　　Effective verbal and written communication

　　Conversant in French an asset

　　Ideal candidate would possess a CPA with at least 3-5 years of experience in cost accounting within a manufacturing environment.

　　Education

　　Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance

　　Years of Experience

　　Minimum of 3 years of related work experience or training
