Actalent is hiring a Controls Engineer to support a client in the Kansas City area!

　　Description:

　　• Process control system design and maintenance to include PLC, MCC’s and VFD’s

　　• Process instrumentation including mass flow meters, continuous and discrete level transmitters, pressure transducers and temperature transducers.

　　• Set up new Factory Talk directories; create new displays and other supporting HMI development activities.

　　• Define and troubleshoot networks that span multiple subnets of VLAN’s

　　• Work in and around 480 V MCC including motor systems that are VFD controls

　　• Manage small to mid-size controls projects to maintain schedule and budget

　　• Directly supervises the site’s instrument technicians. This includes evaluating job scopes and assigning work

　　• Actively participate in plant wide HSE, quality, and productivity initiatives.

　　• Train employees on HS&E topics, and motivate hourly technicians to develop ownership skills

　　Skills:

　　Plc programming, Hmi, Electrical, Programming, VFD's, MCC's, Troubleshooting, Rockwell, Design

　　Additional Skills & Qualifications:

　　• Strong analytical and problem solving ability with Allen-Bradley Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC's).

　　• Comfortable programming in the full range of A/B PLC products, including RSView, RSLogic, and other comparable MMI and ladder logic programs, such as GE Fanuc/Cimplicity.

　　• Ability to troubleshoot equipment links between the PLC and Motor Control Centers (MCC's).

　　• Able to independently manage work requests from numerous plant sites, prioritize, and provide first class customer service, with the customer being the plants.

　　• Able to provide written operating procedures as required, as well as monthly update reports on project progress.

　　• Able to troubleshoot higher level problems with plant instruments and transmitters. Sufficiently knowledgeable to make recommendations for improved instrumentation.

　　• Strong analytical and problem solving ability with Allen-Bradley Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC's).
