LinQuest is seeking a Senior Cloud Architect to join our rapidly growing team in the Washington, DC area! The primary function of the Senior Cloud Architect will be to work supporting Department of Defense (DOD) and Headquarters United States Air Force providing direct cloud engineering support to the Air Force acquisition community throughout the system development lifecycle (SDLC).
As a Senior Cloud Architect you will be working side-by-side our DoD customer and industry to develop a cutting edge, modern cloud environment. This Architect will be responsible for designing security solutions for IaaS, SaaS, and PaaS offerings for an enterprise system. Working under the direction of the Project Manager, you will review, design, and propose new innovative cloud solutions and compliance of the cloud environment. The position will be the subject matter expert for the program.
Responsibilities may include:
Build new cloud-based environments for DoD cloud initiatives.
Provide technical leadership throughout the design and deployment life cycle and focus on delivery of quality solutions.
Lead technical discussions and build consensus among engineers.
Develop deployment of automation using automation tools and scripts to provide a fully functional cloud stack in that supports the Client's environment.
Build, migrate and test environments and integrations of services with IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS.
Verify architecture against program requirements and goals. This includes participating in technical discussions, trade studies and working groups, and conducting research on industry best practices for potential implementation.
Use problem-solving creativity to design, architect, and develop high-end technology solutions that solve our clients' most complex and challenging problems across different industries.
Evaluating and assessing data exchange processes and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
Working on a cross functional team.
Information technology projects.

Required Skills and Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or related engineering discipline.
Certified Google Professional Cloud Architect and AWS Certified Solutions Architect.
10+ years of experience as a Cloud Architect.
Team Leadership experience.
Big Data (e.g., Hadoop, NiFi, Spark, PySpark, Dask, etc.)
Experience working directly with customer stakeholders to shape technology strategies.
Experience in application migration.
Proven expertise in design and architect multi layered cloud only / Hybrid network for Microsoft azure cloud.
Ability to architect and integrate on-premises applications, cloud providers or other platforms.
Ability to understand and delivery of security and compliance solutions to meet DoD standards.
Desire to learn new technologies in evaluation for customer use cases.
Strong communication skills, written and oral.
Ability to travel 25% of time for program meetings.
Red Hat Certified Architect.
Azure Solutions Architect Expert.
An active Top Secret clearance is required (with ability to obtain SCI, SAP and CI poly).
