Job Description:
This Business Analyst role is a member of the newly created Business Performance Measurement (BPM) team The team in close collaboration with the Financial Management Technology (FMT) product area, sources, curates, and analyzes key measures and drivers of business performance as a source for enterprise-level data driven decision making. In addition, the team is also responsible for driving insights and analysis into our discretionary asset base and flows. The BPM team is focused on building 'core and common' capabilities to enhance data driven decision making that includes the delivery of high-quality data to various stakeholders across the firm.. The Business Analyst will play a key role in supporting the growth and delivery of BPM data to our customers.
The Expertise and Skills You Bring
A bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or equivalent; MBA or advanced degree a plus5+ years of professional experience in Finance with a successful track record in financial modeling and analysisExperience in finance or business analysis roles across multiple businessesStrong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to envision the "big picture" while maintaining close attention to detailAbility to gather business requirements and synthesize/translate for Technology consumptionExperience with end user/business acceptance testingDemonstrate confidence in explaining, defending and/or challenging analytical findingsAbility to work independently and solve a variety of moderately complex problemsExcellent written and verbal communications skills, including the ability to "tell the story" and communicate effectively with Finance and business partners at varying levels of the organizationProficient in Excel, PowerPoint,Data analytical skills leveraging Power BI, Tableau, Alteryx and/or other business intelligence and data visualization tools preferredConfidence, business maturity, and presence to work independently and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organizationOutstanding critical thinking, problem solving, decision-making, and analytical skillsStrong interpersonal skills, proactively building consultative relationships across Finance, the business and TechnologyAbility to gain subject matter expertise in a short time period and apply institutional knowledge to develop quality analyticsProven ability, flexibility, and resourcefulness to manage several priorities in a deadline driven environment, having comfort with ambiguityAbility to take initiative and seek creative solutions that challenge conventional approachAbility to prioritize and drive work in a highly matrixed environment
