This is a job for a Senior Application Engineer position with a company located in the Grenada, MS area.
Position Description: This position to is responsible for the development of specific designs using current technology to meet customer requirements most economically design within the scope of products manufactured by the Coolers team, it will also follow the process of new sales orders from design, rating and pricing to manufacturing and shipping. Deals directly with the customers or sales reps depending on the application. This position is hybrid out of our plant location in Grenada, Mississippi.
Key Responsibilities: Design heat exchangers and cooling system modules for assigned customers. Provide technical assistance to the customers engineering personnel. Provide design and price to customers. Coordinate the build and ensure the accuracy of units. Ensure understanding by plant production and manufacturing personnel of design specifications, Work closely with other departments and the plant to ensure new models are delivered on time and meet all customer requirements. Monitor feedback from the field and initiate product improvement when appropriate. Support other engineers and designers with product development projects related to design and documentation as needed.
Required Qualifications: 3-7 years of experience in engineering is required. Experience with heat transfer, thermodynamics, or thermal management and its applications. Prior experience working with customers in an engineering capacity. Experience working with customers in an engineering capacity. Experience with HVAC or unitary design. Sheet metal design/
Education Requirements: A bachelors degree in engineering, such as Mechanical or Electrical, or a related discipline.
Travel: Travel for this position is measured up to 10% of the time to support customer visits, supplier visits and plant visits.
