  The Office of MedTech Strategy (OMTS) team shapes and evolves the JJMT strategy through a deep understanding of our end markets, the competitive landscape, and the drivers of our businesses. We uncover competitive & market insights that inform critical decision-making, enabling J&J MedTech to grow market share, accelerate sales, and optimize our portfolio.

  The Senior Analyst, Financial Planning & Forecasting is a critical role within the OMTS team, delivering forecasting and modeling support for the JJMT sector, across franchises, platforms, and functions. In collaboration with the broader OMTS team, this individual will partner with stakeholders across the MedTech franchises, drawing upon key insights to enable data-driven decision making.

  As a member of this team, the Senior Analyst will help establish sector standards for market size, market guardrails, sales, and share forecasting. This team will also create a single source of truth for procedure volume reporting and forecasting. In addition, this individual will develop and execute timelines for key strategic deliverables, including Market & Share reports and enterprise forecasts (e.g., Long-Range Financial Plan, Mid-Term Plan, Business Plan, June Update, November Update). This individual will also cross-develop with the Competitive Market Insights team, providing ad hoc support during peak earnings season.

  Key Responsibilities:

  Strategic Planning & Financial Acumen

  Analyze sales, market, and share performance for JJMT priority platforms and top competitors

  Accountable for developing and coordinating forecast modeling, secondary data analysis, and evaluation of existing/new markets

  Ensure data integrity and identify anomalies or outliers to ensure the most accurate representation of the market landscape

  Evaluate past company performance, as well as geographic, market, competitor and procedural trends

  Use data to tell a story with clear, concise messaging (written & verbal) though high-impact presentations

  Contribute to the execution of JJMT Business Planning process (e.g., Long-Range Financial Plan, Mid-Term Plan, Business Plan, June Update, November Update), Market & Share reports, and other key deliverables

  Maintain procedure volume reporting and forecasting methodology in collaboration with Data & Analytics team

  Engage with key franchise, regional, and platform stakeholders to continue to gain momentum on the insights and analytics capability

  Process & Project Management

  Execute high-impact projects to generate integrated marketplace and competitor insights

  Ensure alignment to enterprise and sector timelines and templates

  Market Insights & Intelligence Optimization

  Distill data and complex concepts into impactful insights for the JJMT companies, leveraging a broad range of data sources, tools, and subject matter experts

  Incorporate new data sources to improve the accuracy of market models within the sector

  Support the development and maintenance of market definitions and modeling frameworks in partnership with the Data & Analytics teams and JJMT franchise experts

  Support the establishment of a standard procedural volume reporting methodology to enable robust market forecasting across the sector

  Cultivate visualization capabilities, internally and with key business partners

  Qualifications

  Required Qualifications:

  Required Minimum Education: BS, BA (or equivalent), finance, statistics, or related field

  Required Years of Related Experience: 2-6 years professional experience

  Other: Ability to work in a matrixed environment with a high degree of ambiguity

  Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  Financial Acumen: Analyze sales, market, and share performance and utilize financial planning models to inform forecasting accuracy (e.g., Budgeting, Sales Forecasting, Financial Data Analysis)

  Agility & Growth Mindset: Leverage a flexible & creative mindset; ability to balance competing priorities

  Technology Skills: Execute advanced technical capabilities to deliver market models & insights that enable informed decision making (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint)

  Project Management: Apply rigorous execution of goals and objectives in accordance with set requirements and timelines

  Preferred Qualifications:

  Preferred Minimum Education: Bachelor of Business Administration, Degree (or equivalent)

  Other: Position will be located in New Brunswick, NJ and requires the candidate to work 3 days per week in office

  Preferred Area of Study: Business, finance, marketing, statistics, or related field

  Preferred Related Industry Experience: Experience in the medical device, hospital specialty, or healthcare fields

  Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  Business Acumen: Apply an understanding the JJMT portfolio and a passion for learning Technology Skills: Power BI, Tableau or other visualization tools

  Communications & Influencing Skills: Navigate a matrix environment where a high degree of collaboration is needed

  The anticipated base pay range for this position is $76,000 to $121,900. The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/ performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis.

  Employees and/or eligible dependents may be eligible to participate in the following Company sponsored employee benefit programs: medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short- and long-term disability, business accident insurance, and group legal insurance. Employees may be eligible to participate in the Company’s consolidated retirement plan (pension) and savings plan (401(k)).

  Employees are eligible for the following time off benefits:

  Vacation – up to 120 hours per calendar year

  Sick time - up to 40 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Washington – up to 56 hours per calendar year

  Holiday pay, including Floating Holidays – up to 13 days per calendar year

  Work, Personal and Family Time - up to 40 hours per calendar year
