  Job Description

  Turner & Townsend are seeking an experienced Director- Project Management Lead to oversee project management services for our Houston Cost Center. The successful candidate will be an agile, emotionally intelligent leader with a strong technical delivery history. Cross sector experience, with an ability to work in multi-cultural environment is beneficial. The ideal candidate will also have strong business development skills and will help to continue to expand project management services.

  Responsibilities:

  Act as principle point of contact for project management services for our Turner & Townsend Houston Cost Center.

  Provide the project management team with necessary direction and inspire high performance.

  Expertly promote staff to deliver excellent project management services to our clients.

  Take on key account role(s), project execution assurance and maintain client relationships as required.

  Coordinate with project team leaders on project negotiations and execution.

  Deliver assurance services to projects - peer review, gateway review, maturity assessments, readiness reviews, progress and performance audits.

  Periodically take on major program oversight, assurance, and delivery to lead the Turner & Townsend team on the commission as needed within region.

  Provide project management solutions to clients and work together with business development team member(s) on sales proposals, qualification packages and presentation materials.

  Delivers high quality of service products by utilizing Turner & Townsend systems, policy and procedure, managing time, planning and organizing to ensure excellence.

  Demonstrates understanding of commercial business drivers and ensures that work and projects are carried out in alignment.

  Contributes to the development of business opportunities.

  Resource planning for organizational growth.

  Partnering with recruitment to develop recruiting strategies and job descriptions.

  Play a key role in supporting business development activities for the Houston Cost Center.

  Assist in the development and implementation of marketing and business development strategies.

  Identify areas of opportunity and enable continued growth trajectory within the market.

  Demonstrable appetite for challenge, innovation and continued improvement in the project management discipline.

  Take responsibility for business performance and project profit and loss.

  Qualifications

  Minimum 10+ years of proven experience in project management.

  Degree holder in construction management, civil engineering, or another applicable field.

  Extensive experience in full life cycle project management.

  Prior success growing project management services.

  Prior experience with business development including oversight of RFP/RFQ submission, proposal writing, and networking.

  Proactive, quality driven, self-motivated, and hands-on team-leader with the ability to multitask.

  Excellent interpersonal and communication skills essential, ability to communicate well with clients and senior management.

  Proven experience leading teams of professionals with a strength in growing and developing people.
