As Senior Marketing Manager leading our acquisition marketing team, you will report to the Head of Growth Marketing within our North American Client Group division. You will have the opportunity to play a critical role in the evolution of our wealth management marketing organization, and the opportunity to define the vision and strategy for our approach to acquisition marketing. Your team will be focused predominantly on applying response and acquisition marketing tactics to attract new advisor sellers and engage advisors below our salesforce coverage threshold. You'll collaborate closely with National Sales Directors, Product leaders, and fellow Marketing Senior Managers to optimize the top-end of our B2B sales funnel.
We are searching for a marketing leader to join our team who has extensive experience with acquisition marketing tactics, channels and B2B sales funnels. The right leader for this role will bring an entrepreneurial mindset, along with the ability to navigate a complex and matrixed corporate environment as we continue to build out our acquisition marketing capabilities.
In this leader-of-leaders role you will oversee an organization focused on acquisition and digital coverage, while fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning. This role may be co-located to any Capital Group office across the U.S., including Los Angeles, New York City, Chicago, Washington D.C., Atlanta, San Antonio, and/or San Francisco.
More specifically, you will be responsible for:
Maintaining a thorough understanding of the business landscape, competitive environment, and acquisition marketing best practices to identify marketing opportunities that align with our business objectives.Overseeing the teams developing and implementing the marketing effort aimed at acquiring new advisor sellers engaging below-threshold advisors. This includes transitioning the Acquisition Marketing Team into a more proactive role in Capital Group's distribution efforts:
Direct the development of annual marketing plans for the Acquisition Marketing TeamEvaluate marketing metrics to gauge effectiveness and recommend adjustments.Report on impact of marketing programsQuarterly presentations (ie. Client Group QBRs and quarterly analytics reviews)Building and coaching a high-performing team of marketing managers and ensuring the cross-functional Acquisition Marketing team is operating for maximum impact.Fostering robust relationships with stakeholders to ensure cross-functional alignment, partnering with:
Media, Technical Marketing, and Events teams to deploy marketing programs aligned with business objectives and strategies.IRSP Audience Senior Manager for seamless integration of retirement plan products and messaging into client journeys.Creative Senior Manager to produce high-quality and response-driving content.Product marketing and IR teams where relevant to ensure a smooth process for pulling through product content.Customer Insights and sales teams to build strong audience insights that informs marketing strategy.

You have a minimum of 10+ years marketing experience, including direct experience with acquisition marketing.You have a high level of expertise with acquisition marketing tactics, key channels and B2B sales funnels, as well as an expert understanding of the direct response side of marketing.You are attracted to the idea of building out and evolving a function and capability for the organization that does not exist today.You have experience in developing business processes and team operating models in such a way that you deliver superior results to the business and clients; you operate with a data-driven mindset and offer an analytical approach.You have extensive experience with leading a team in leveraging marketing automation technology, including Adobe and Salesforce Marketing Cloud or other similar platformsYou hold a Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Marketing, Communications or related field (MBA highly preferred).
Southern California Base Salary Range: $163,779-$278,424
San Antonio Base Salary Range: $147,496-$250,743
San Francisco Base Salary Range: $180,594-$307,010
New York Base Salary Range: $173,629-$295,169
D.C. Base Salary Range: $161,494-$274,540
Atlanta Base Salary Range: $146,075-$248,328
Chicago Base Salary Range: $157,760-$268,192
In addition to a highly competitive base salary, per plan guidelines, restrictions and vesting requirements, you also will be eligible for an individual annual performance bonus, plus Capital's annual profitability bonus plus a retirement plan where Capital contributes 15% of your eligible earnings.
