About Senior Accreditation Specialist

  Job Summary:

  The Senior Accreditation Specialist is instrumental with leading accreditation readiness activities that will prepare the organization for accreditation and certification surveys. Duties include coordinating annual assessments of compliance standards, monitoring survey application process, training staff on compliance requirements and providing consulting support to department leaders and front line supervisors to help them understand accreditation compliance requirements. Ability to act as on site commander and coordinator for any onsite real time surveys. Coordinate and facilitate survey activities. Provide support with submitting completion of accreditation survey applications. Provide internal audit, accreditation rounds and assessments on readiness of the institution. Provide education to staff on accreditation standards and requirements. Work with departments to integrate elements of survey readiness into new manager training. Acts as a liaison with accreditation/regulatory bodies. Other duties as assigned.

  Minimum Qualifications:

  Master's degree in a healthcare or related field and at least 4 years experience with accreditation, certification, quality, risk management or related required. Must have knowledge of Quality Improvement methodology; project management and regulatory standards: including at least CMS, DNV, DOH. Must be able to work on-site to ensure readiness for unannounced surveys.

  Preferred Qualifications:

  Management experience, especially with clinical operations in clinical healthcare environment preferred. Experience with auditing /data analytics staff training and creative problem solving preferred. Previous accreditation readiness experience, experience with project management systems and/or leadership experience strongly preferred.

  Work Days:

  Monday - Friday
