　　The Medical Assistant is the first point of contact for patient care. Responsible for administrative duties in addition to patient care. The Medical Assistant assumes ownership and leads advanced and highly specialized administrative / operational / customer support duties that require independent initiative and judgment.

　　Lead Medical Assistant Role Overview:

　　Performs clinical duties such as discussing symptoms and gathering and inputting information into the electronic medical records system

　　Taking vital signs, giving injections, performing diagnostic tests, collecting specimens, drawing blood, sterilizing and cleaning equipment, and maintaining examination rooms at an outpatient care site

　　Collaborates closely with Physicians and Nurses

　　Delivers direct patient care dependent on what active certification allows

　　Decisions are regarding the daily priorities for an administrative work group and/or external vendors including coordinating work activities and monitoring progress towards schedules/goals, and often oversees work of others and/or is the primary administrative owner of a main process, program, product or technology

　　Works within broad guidelines with little oversight

　　Required Qualifications

　　2 - 4 years of Medical Assistant experience in 'back-office' direct patient care

　　1 - 5 years of leadership experience

　　Applicable State licensure in field of study (RMA/ CMA)

　　Current CPR certification

　　Less than 2 years of leadership experience

　　This role is considered patient facing and is part of Humana/Senior Bridge's Tuberculosis (TB) screening program. If selected for this role, you will be required to be screened for TB.

　　Must be a team player with excellent communication skills

　　Experience in a fast pace/high volume environment

　　Experience with MS Outlook

　　Basic Computer knowledge

　　Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences

　　Preferred Qualifications

　　Bilingual

　　Hands-on professional Phlebotomy experience

　　Experience with Electronic Medical Records

　　Experience with HEDIS

　　Active Medical Assistant Certification or Registration from the following: American Association of Medical Assistant (AAMA), National Healthcareer Association, American Registry of Medical Assistants, National Association for Health Professionals, and/or American Medical Technologist

　　Rad tech license ( AART)

　　Lead Medical Assistant Working hours:

　　Scheduled 40 hours per week

　　Monday to Friday 8AM-5PM

　　Local travel may be required; Mileage is reimbursed

　　Bilingual English/Spanish. Must be able to speak, read and write in both languages without limitations or assistance. Applicants will be required to take the Interagency Language Rating (ILR) test as provided by the Federal Government.

　　The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay decisions will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.$37,200 - $51,150This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
