Description
Our client, a large national industry leader, is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Accountant to join their finance team. As a Senior Accountant, you will play a crucial role in the month-end close process, oversee an operational accounting team, assist with analytical work such as budgeting and forecasting, and collaborate with external auditors.
Responsibilities:
Manage key aspects of the month-end close process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting.
Oversee and mentor an operational accounting team, providing guidance and support in daily activities.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze financial data for budgeting and forecasting purposes.
Work closely with external auditors to facilitate the audit process, providing necessary documentation and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
Review and analyze financial statements, identifying trends, variances, and areas for improvement.
Assist in developing and implementing internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulations.
Participate in special projects and initiatives as needed, contributing financial expertise and insights.

Requirements
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related discipline.
3+ years of progressive experience in accounting roles, with a focus on month-end close processes, team management, and financial analysis.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel is a must.
CPA or relevant professional certification is a plus.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and thoroughness.
