PURPOSE AND SCOPE:
Provide routine support, guidance and leadership to the Nephrology Clinical Educators (NECs).
Ensure client satisfaction, maintain client rapport and act in compliance with Spectra's policies and procedures. Travel to customer sites, with a focus on providing support and guidance to NCE's. Provide ongoing educational information and support to existing and new NCE's and serve as a liaison between NCEs and in-house laboratories staff.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage the tactical execution of short- and long-term objectives through the coordination of activities with a direct responsibility for results, including costs, methods, and staffing.
Manage nephrology clinical educator staff and oversee related tasks including but not limited to, maintenance schedules, timely FVF submission, timely expense report submissions.
Responsible for identifying training needs as well as providing the necessary tools needed for client training and in-servicing
Act as a liaison between Spectra, Spectra clients, and potential clients.
Ensure NCE time management.
Ensure NCE's complete annual compliance certification.
Review semiannual reviews and goal setting with NCE's.
Assist with development of new training material for external accounts; as well as assist in updating existing training materials.
Attend Tradeshows as assigned representing Spectra.
Promote all Laboratory Services provided by Spectra.
Provide leadership, coaching and development plans for all direct reports to maintain an engaged and productive workforce; partnering with Human Resources on employee matters.
Works on issues of diverse scope where analysis of situation or data requires evaluation of a variety of factors, including an understanding of current business trends.
Manages the coordination of activities of a section or department with direct responsibility for results, including costs, methods, and staffing.
Follows processes and operational policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. Interprets and recommends change to policies and establishes procedures that effect immediate organization(s).
Frequently interacts with subordinate supervisors, customers, and/or functional peer group managers, normally involving matters between functional areas, other company divisions or units, or customers.
Interacts with internal departments and external customers; particularly in problem resolution. Acts as an advisor to subordinate(s) to meet schedules and/or resolve technical problems. Responsible for hiring, coaching and counseling employees, including performance reviews, disciplinary action and terminations.
Provide technical guidance.
Assist with various projects as assigned.
Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION:
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, education or related science required; Advanced Degree desirable
Certification in Nephrology, preferred.
EXPERIENCE AND REQUIRED SKILLS:
6 - 8 years' related experience.
3+ years' supervisory or project/program management experience preferred.
Must be dependable, reliable, customer result driven, detail oriented and an optimistic problem solver.
Must be able to work in a high pressure environment in a team setting as well as independently.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; can effectively articulate complex ideas and influence others through well-reasoned explanations.
Works well in a collaborative environment; can develop strong working relationships and promote a positive, functional environment.
Self-initiative and ability to work independently and prioritize, schedule and organize work.
Proficient with PCs, Microsoft Office applications and some database entry/management preferred.
Must be flexible to constant change and well organized with the ability to handle multiple tasks, and prioritize; exceptional attention to detail.
Flexibility to respond to urgent project requests and/or changing priorities.
Knowledge of laboratory environment is a plus.
Ensure cohesion and teamwork among and between departments.
Must be able to multi-task, prioritize and manage time effectively.
