Description
Robert Half has a terrific opportunity for a permanent Senior Accountant to join an innovative, growing company in the BALTIMORE, Maryland area. As a Senior Accountant, you will be required to perform financial statement preparation and consolidation, account analysis and reconciliations, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. Major responsibilities
Prepare financial analysis on trends, performance metrics, benchmarks, etc.
Work with business partners to ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures and controls and provide support on special requests
Contribute to coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors
Commitment to continuously improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process
Provide monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting
Provide Balance Sheet account reconciliations
Execute monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables (journal entries, reconciliations, reports) in compliance with GAAP
Partake in various department-wide initiatives
Coordinate Ad-hoc projects as necessary

Requirements
Ability to meet deadlines
Current and relevant ERP system experience
5+ years of overall general accounting experience
BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred
Earlier experience in public accounting is highly valued
Takes action on items beyond formal job responsibilities
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Proven analytical skills - defining problems, collecting relevant data, drawing valid conclusions, and recommending improvement/corrective actions
General familiarity with Construction Accounting preferred but not required
Proven knowledge of Balance Sheet Account Reconciliation
Command of month end closings
Well-founded grasp of Sage Intacct
Microsoft Excel experience
General ledger experience
Exceptional time management skills preferred
Attention to detail and ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement
