　　Position Summary/Purpose:

　　There is an opening for a Professional Registered Nurse at John F. Kennedy Middle & High School (grades 612)

　　The successful candidate will:

　　Provide Primary health care to students, promote wellness and serve as a resource for health concerns in the school setting.

　　Responsibilities & Skills:

　　Review and complete documentation of mandated Health Appraisals.

　　Review the immunization status of all students.

　　Acts as a liaison between the school and health department.

　　Conduct New York State-mandated screenings of students for vision, hearing and scoliosis.

　　Provide first aid, assessment and nursing care to students, employees and visitors for injury acute illness.

　　Requirements & Qualifications:

　　Hold current New York State license as a Registered Professional Nurse. AED/CPR certified, and maintains current certification.
