Edelman's Health Sector team provides a wide array of communications services to a diversified portfolio of healthcare clients including major pharmaceutical companies, hospitals and providers, health insurers, associations, life sciences companies, government and public health organizations. By employing innovative and thoughtful strategies, the Health Sector team develops integrated corporate reputation, public affairs, advocacy, and brand campaigns that help our clients promote their brands and policy positions, protect their reputations and license to operate, and influence public perceptions and policy outcomes.
The Senior Account Executive will have the ability to learn and deploy a wide variety of communications skills to a single, but diversified, industry that is of fundamental importance to individuals, governments, and society at large.Furthermore, employees will hone their communication skills alongside colleagues who have deep expertise at the intersection of healthcare pharmaceuticals and public relations.
Responsibilities: Play a major role in the creation of communications plans and goals; manage against themHave strong media relations, research, writing, editing, and be a team playerManage multiple projects on a fast-paced, high-profile integrated account, anticipating challenges and ensuring deadline and budget adherenceDemonstrate proficiency in account and project management skills, including keeping internal and external teams on track and maintaining internal and external deliverables trackers and timelinesInterface with clients and own projects/updates in client communications when appropriate; address client issues thoughtfully and effectivelyConsistently produce high-quality internal and external communications content, including press releases, key message documents, Q& As, internal Workplace cascades, blog posts, etc., under tight timelines and with competing prioritiesProactively raise a hand and jump in to support junior and senior team members with ad-hoc client asks as they ariseDemonstrate tactical proficiency in media relations, including creating and driving both traditional and social media outreach plansSupervise junior staff by motivating, coaching, consistently providing feedback, holding them accountable, and conducting their reviewsCommit to continuous learning and improvement of leadership skills; set and pursue stretch goalsPossess a solid understanding of the current healthcare landscape and the relevant issues impacting organizations and businesses active in the health spaceDemonstrate behaviors consistent with Edelman's values (Quality, Integrity, Respect, Entrepreneurial Spirit, Mutual Benefits) and Code of Ethics and Business Conduct
Basic Qualifications: At least 2 years of relevant experience in Public Relations and/or related fields including research, advertising, management consulting, media, and publishing.A bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience and a proven ability to manage multiple small or medium-sized projects simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications: A proven ability to manage multiple small or medium-sized projects simultaneouslyThey should be able to develop communication plans, implement public relations tactics, and impart knowledge to more junior team membersThey should have strong media relations, research, writing, editing and client interaction skills, perform well under pressure and be a team player
$52, 000 - $77, 000 a year
An employee's pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, travel requirements, revenue-based metrics, any contractual agreements, and business or organizational needs. The range listed is just one component of DJEH's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, a Paid Time Off policy, and region-specific benefits.
