Description:
Summary:
Responsible for assisting with the day-to-day training operations and direct supervision of assigned activities within Golden Entertainment & Aquarius & Edgewater properties. Identify training needs based on skills gap analysis, developing group and individual learning courses, and managing a training budget. Responsible for organizing training classes and designing the security educational curriculum.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Responsible for assisting with the day-to-day training operations and direct supervision of assigned activities within Golden Entertainment, security departments
Responsible for organizing training classes and designing the security educational curriculum
Plan security training programs, oversee learning activities, curriculum and resources
Responsible for developing, measuring performance and /or scheduling department staff for training
Responsible for maintaining and tracking all Security departmental staff training and development materials in order to ensure overall corporate compliance
Liaison between Security and Human Resources to assist with training record retention and due diligence
Provide guidance and direction to Directors of Security regarding training curriculum and training development
Establish standards of training within the security departments and ensure achievement
Maintain all Security Department training records
Prepare written reports
Evaluate the results of learning courses and provide feedback to the Directors of Security
Ensure compliance with all applicable gaming laws and company internal controls, policies and procedures, Title 31, and federal regulations, if they apply to the position
Provide outstanding guest service in a timely manner to both guests and fellow team members that meets the company’s guest service culture standards
Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Qualifications
A minimum of 5 years of military, law enforcement and or security experience.
Previous leadership experience in Security.
Knowledge of the principles and practices of applicable state statues, codes and regulations including operation and security requirements, techniques for dealing with the public and team members often where relations may be confrontational or strained
Experience in organizing training activities
Excellent communication and leadership skills
In-depth understanding of traditional and modern training methods including workshops
Recommend new training methods including e-learning and game base platforms
Be able to work extended shifts, take calls and be able to respond to security situations
Must be at least 21 years old
High school diploma
Experience writing and maintaining accurate reports, training logs, legal documents, and other administrative documents pertaining to the position.
Ability to communicate in English, both written and verbal
Obtain and maintain all work cards as required by the company
Verify right to work in the United States

Physical Requirements
Ability to successfully perform in a timely manner all the physical movements associated with situations that may present to Security personal, including movements necessary to successfully complete company-assigned training courses applicable to the essential duties of the position

Occasionally lift and/or carry up to 75lbs at floor, knee, waist, and chest levels
Frequently squat, kneel, reach, bend, twist
Regularly sit and work at a desk or computer
