  ResponsibilitiesThe Security Officer II (Non-Safety Care Cerification) is the primary responders for all safety concerns, security incidents and service request atfacilities owned or occupied by Seattle Children's in the department's efforts to deter, detect, prevent, respond,and document concerns or incidents that risk the safety and well-being of patients, families, visitors, workforcemembers, and property by utilizing appropriate protocols, emergency response procedures, and/or non-violentcrisis intervention methods.. 6 FTE (48 hours per two week pay period)/Benefits Eligible. Main Campus Location/Day ShiftSecurity Officers in this position respond to situations that include but are not limited to fire emergencies,hazardous spills, disaster response, medical emergencies, safety support, missing child, active shooter, bombthreats, individuals under distress or escalated, unauthorized persons on Seattle Children's property or buildingsoccupied by Seattle Children's workforce members with intentions to commit crimes such as vandalism, theft,and assault."RequirementsRequired Education and ExperienceAssociate degree in Criminal Justice or related field or a combination of 3 years' experience in Security Servicesor related fieldRequired CredentialsBasic Life Support (BLS) Certification within 90 days of hireCPI Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NCI) Certification within 90 days of hire (Annual Requirement)Completion of NCI Autism Training within 12 months of hireCompletion of Seattle Children's Safe Firearms Training within 12 months of hireCompletion of Car Seat Safety Training within 12 months of hire if required for position/role.Score of 80% or above on Seattle Children's Security Competency Exam in assigned area of the SecurityDepartment (Service Call, Emergency Department, Entrance, Surge, and Research) within 12 months.PreferredValid Washington State Driver's License with a driving record acceptable to Risk ManagementCompletion of Wheelchair vehicle TrainingMin to Max Hourly Salary$23.47 - $35.21 /hrMin to Max Annual Salary$48,817.60 - $73,236.80 /yrSalary InformationThis compensation range was calculated based on full-time employment (2080 hours worked per calendar year).
