Security Lead Bike Officer The Strat (Las Vegas, NV)
Description:
Summary:
Monitors and patrols assigned areas to provide a safe environment for guests, employees, the company and their property. Provides outstanding guest service to guests with questions and/or concerns.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Provides protection for the casino and its employees and guests
Guards all transfers of moneys and tokens on the casino floor and transports hopper fills, chip fills and credits
Inspect bike officers’ equipment daily
Conducts routine maintenance of all bikes and related equipment.
Responsible to train new bike officers and provide refresher training to existing bike officers concerning security procedures.
Performs the duties of a security officer or bike officer, when needed
Completes all incident reports pertaining to outside patrol issues
Patrols and controls the flow of traffic throughout the property
Escorts armored car personnel around the property
Functions as fire control center officer and time officer to relieve other officers for their breaks
Escorts trespassing individuals off property
Secures the operations office during in-custody situations
Assists guests in locating lost vehicles
Maintains bicycle in operating condition
Investigates auto accidents
Acts as a liaison between guests and Taxi Authority
Secures the operations office during in-custody situations
Responds to the pod during alarm situations
Answers guest questions, provides directions to guests (escorts guests to desired location, if possible), and assists guests with any challenges that the guest brings to attention
Ensure compliance with all applicable gaming laws and company internal controls, policies and procedures, Title 31, and federal regulations, as they apply to the position
Provide outstanding guest service in a timely manner to both guests and fellow team members that meets the company's guest service culture standards
Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Qualifications
Minimum one year of casino security, law enforcement, military or EMT experience
Previous experience training others preferred
Proven experience using sound judgment and making appropriate decisions during challenging situations and/or interacting with challenging patrons
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals and ability to write routine reports and correspondence
Ability to effectively communicate in small and large group situations, as well as one-on-one
Ability to effectively communicate in English and via portable radios
Able to demonstrate proficiency with authorized handgun and qualify on the range every six months
Proven experience providing high level of guest service
Working knowledge of Microsoft operating system and applications preferred
Must be at least 21 years old
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Ability to communicate in English, both written and verbal
Obtain and maintain all work cards as required by the company
Verify right to work in the United States

Physical Requirements
Ability to ride a bicycle for an extended period (an eight-hour shift)
Must maintain 300 lb or less weight limit, including uniform (based on published maximum weight limit of company-provided bicycle, as determined by bicycle manufacturer)
Regularly walk, stand, stoop or sit at a desk or table
Ability to jog or run as situations dictate
Ability to occasionally lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects weighing up to 75 lbs.
Speech, literacy, hearing and vision (critical)
Ability to ascend or descend ladders, scaffolding, stairs, and ramps
Ability to drive motor vehicles
Ability to distinguish shades of color
