　　The Senior Symantec Security Engineer is responsible for system health and maintenance of core Symantec/SEP Cloud infrastructure including major upgrades, major feature improvements, system wide changes and all aspects of the core platform. This role works at the direction of the IT Security Manager and collaboratively with others to detect and respond to information security incidents.

　　WHAT YOU GET TO DO

　　Adherence to global IT security processes, procedures and policy

　　Assist with security investigations to determine root cause, impact and remediation steps

　　Actively participate in a 24x7 delivery team. Identify and analyze malware including global trends

　　Be a thought leader in security engineering and operations delivery - driving automation, analytics, and advanced threat analysis.

　　Complete assigned projects on time, in line with approved change management practices, and with excellent quality

　　Configuration, policy changes as requested, device tuning and patching for all relevant features including AV, IPS, Firewall, ATP, etc.

　　Continually improving delivery processes to drive operational excellence and support the IT Security Strategy

　　Major upgrades and maintenance of core infrastructure

　　Monitoring & Continuous improvement of the AV definition updates for AV console and clients.

　　Proactively propose improvements for how to reduce risk and potential future incidents

　　Provide incident response support, including mitigating actions to contain malicious activity and facilitating forensics analysis when necessary

　　Recommends security controls and/or corrective actions for mitigating technical and business risk Regularly track work in a ticketing tracking system with a thoroughness acceptable for knowledge base use

　　Roles and Responsibilities End-to-End Management and Monitoring of Symantec End Point suite of tools

　　Stay informed of breaking news and industry best practices from multiple reliable sources and share accordingly

　　Security Systems support as requested

　　WHAT WE WANT FROM YOU

　　5+ years relevant experience with Endpoint Protection Products

　　Knowledge of information security principles, defense in depth, TCP/IP, including risk management, threat and vulnerability management, incident response, and identity and access management.

　　Fluent in English in both writing and speech

　　Strong Scripting ability in PowerShell

　　Desirable – Security+, SSCP, CEH, GSEC, CND, or similar

　　Strong written and verbal communication skills

　　Excellent analytic and problem-solving skills
