The Corporate Communications team is responsible for protecting and enhancing the brand and reputation of the firm with media, clients and other external stakeholders. Its activities also underpin employee engagement and cultural change by managing and implementing a range of communication strategies from Executive-led Town Halls and intranet content to corporate Identity and management of brand guidelines.

NUMBER OF DIRECT REPORTS
There are no direct reports, however, the role holder will be expected to help manage agencies.
MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
The Digital communication executive has responsibility for the day-to day activities and maintenance of a portfolio of intranet and external websites to meet current and future requirements across the business. In addition, the role covers governance of electronic branding for these sites, electronic marketing materials, management of virtual events and digital contents production
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
For dual hat only:
In this role, you will operate across MUFG’s banking arm and securities business under a dual-hat arrangement. Under this arrangement, you will act and make decisions on behalf of both Bank and Securities, subject to the same remit and level of authority, and irrespective of the entity which employs you.
Support on strategic management of internal and external digital channels to enable effective external brand promotion and internal engagement.
Day-to-day content publishing on external website (media releases, regulatory reports, news and insight)
Provide day-to-day user support and training on the firm-wide intranet (cloud based intranet platform).
Monitor group email account, Service Now (online service request platform) and support users’ enquiries and requests in a timely manner.
Leverage data and internal and external analytics to create monthly reports to ensure digital content is strategically timed, visually impactful and posted for maximum readership
Work with Technology, Information Security, GDPR teams and Head Office to produce regular reports in line with company policies.
Work with external agencies on intranet/website/CMS improvements
SEO/SEM – support on developing linking strategies to drive more traffic and improve search relevance (organic and paid).
Assist with the production of multimedia including; filming, editing, video, audio and graphics to support corporate events, advertising and leadership communications across EMEA.
Advance newsroom mentality across the business to ensure strategic and consistent flow on information, and understanding the editorial calendar to meet tight deadlines
Provide design briefs to creative agencies to ensure best-in-class, impactful digital design in line with the brand guideline
Provide guidance to internal and external stakeholders to ensure all branded assets are brand compliant
Produce digital banners using photoshop and other editing software for email and social media
Support the weekly production and distribution of MUFG podcast
Support the execution of a robust and innovative digital communications strategy across EMEA, including delivering digital campaigns for ESG and the website refresh project.
Coordinating meetings for internal and external stakeholders, take meeting minutes and produce presentation materialsWORK EXPERIENCE
Demonstrable experience in digital, corporate communications, branding, marketing and events

PERFORMANCE AND DUTIES
The role holder will be assessed in accordance with their employing entity’s performance framework and process with relevant input obtained from the dual hatting entity as relevant.
As duties and responsibilities change, the job description will be reviewed and emended in consultation with the role holder. The role holder will carry out other duties as are within the scope, spirit and purpose of the role as requested by their line manager or Department Head.
MANAGING CONFLICTS OF INTEREST
The role holder will have responsibilities for both MUFG Bank and MUFG Securities EMEA plc.
The role holder will be required to perform their duties and responsibilities on an entity neutral basis, without favour.
The role holder is required to follow regulatory requirements applicable to ensure each business is appropriately supported and to maintain the legal entity integrity of each of MUFG Bank and MUS.
Working terms are dictated by functional mandates, the terms of the Dual-Hat Arrangement Agreement in place between MUFG Bank and MUFG Securities EMEA plc and any other relevant agreements entered into between MUFG Bank and MUFG Securities EMEA plc.
The role holder will have responsibility for identifying and resolving where there may be a difference or conflict in needs between MUFG Bank and MUFG Securities EMEA plc, escalating to their manager where required.
