The Radiology Clerk must continually strive to provide the highest level of care for the patients/residents of Cuyuna Regional Medical Center. They must perform alongside other members of the health care team toward the achievement of the goals of Cuyuna Regional Medical Center. Adjusts to stressful situations with confidence and good judgment. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES Assists in preparation of department requisitions and clerical work for technologist and radiologist. Sorts and distributes radiology transcribed reports. Faxes reports to referring physicians. Requests outside images for future patient radiology appointments. Retrieves, distributes and tracks patient radiology records. Communicates effectively verbally and in writing with co-workers and other medical campus staff. Organizes and performs work as priorities dictate. Participates in departmental meetings and inservices. Upholds and supports established Medical Center mission, goals and policies. Practices and maintains high ethical standards including resident/patient confidentiality. Interacts with patients and their families in a courteous manner.
