Major/Essential Functions:
Supervision (25.00%)
Recruit, train, directly supervise and evaluate the activities of one full-time unit manager and one full-time section supervisor for the Welcome Center team. Provide indirect supervision and support to 1 section supervisor, 3 lead advisors, and 15-20 student staff.
Contribute to and monitor the on-going professional development of assigned staff.
Conduct one on one meetings with assigned staff.
Contribute to the development and implementation of institutional and departmental policies and procedures as it relates to staff supervision.
Welcome Center (50.00%)
Oversee and monitor staff involved in managing student on campus housing contracts to ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, institutional policy, and department policy. Ensure effective communication of all policy and procedure changes/updates.
Oversee and monitor staff involved in managing student on campus housing occupancy strategies and procedures to ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, institutional policy, and department policy. Ensure effective communication of all policy and procedure changes/updates.
Oversee and monitor staff engaged in recruitment efforts on behalf of University Student Housing and Texas Tech University. Ensure effective marketing, communication, and representation at all events.
Respond to department and campus inquiries and address issues to ensure compliance with all governing regulations and institutional and department policy. Provide oversight to staff responsible for responding to department inquiries ensuring proactive communication to department leadership via direct supervisor. Serve as a liaison for USH to ensure effective communication with all stakeholders.
Customer Service and Leadership Support (25.00%)
Respond to department and campus inquiries quickly and professionally ensuring effective communication with all stakeholders.
Resolve issues quickly and efficiently and proactively communicate issues and concerns with supervisor.
Serve as a knowledgeable resource for staff and provide necessary follow-up.
Proactively mitigate potential problem areas and work to find solutions to prevent delays in processes.
Assist with department-wide events and initiatives.
Assist with special projects as requested by internal and external stakeholders, and department leadership.
Serve on departmental committee(s) as assigned.

Schedule Details:
M-F 8:00am-5:00pm. Travel required for recruitment events and conferences

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with student recruitment.
Higher Education experience.
Experience with room assignment software such as Star Rez and/or Mercury.
Knowledge and practice in TTU software and programs (Cognos, Banner, PureConnect (CIC)) and TTU
policies and procedures.
Previous experience leading a diverse group of employees.
