What You Will Do:
The role reports into the Head of Agile and will be accountable for actively driving process within a Scrum Team. Scrum Masters will also support productivity improvement whilst maintaining a high level of quality through the implementation of Agile processes and practices, underpinned by tooling and the use of metrics to measure success.
The Scrum Master will coach the Scrum Team in the adoption of the Scrum Framework. Acting as a servant leader, removing impediments and coaching/supporting the team to do the same. The role will facilitate discussions, decision making and conflict resolution within the teams and amongst team members, escalating unresolved issues appropriately through the correct channels.
The Scrum Master will support the Product Owner in ensuring the product backlog meets the Team’s criteria for ‘Ready’ and ‘Done’ and that product backlog hygiene is constantly maintained.
The Scrum Master assist with internal and external communication, improving transparency, and radiating information to areas of the business that work closely with R&D.
A crucial part of the role is:
Agile Adoption Strategy. Operationalizing our Agile roadmap from the introduction of Agile and employee education, to fostering teams and cultures that practice Agile, to sustaining Agile methodologies and continually offering approaches for improvement.
Agile implementation. Implementing Agile processes and principles within R&D using techniques that increase collaboration, predictability, transparency and promote a culture of experimentation and innovation.
Mentoring. Providing hands-on support to all employees within R&D, collaborating with people across varying levels and roles, proving personal/team feedback and means for improvement.
Standards. Develop standards and requirements for the Agile process and ensure teams follow these standards. Support the Scrum Master group in the adoption of these standards within their teams.
Training. Provide regular training to employees on the agile process, including specialised training for PO, QA, SM functions and Graduate bootcamps. Work with current trainers to improve content and keep it relevant as the Agile process matures and develops.
Tools. Help teams navigate agile tools and software, including the application lifecycle management tooling and tools for delivering metrics. Keep abreast of new tools and technologies that could benefit teams in the adoption and ongoing implementation of Agile methods.
The role requires an individual that has the ability to work to tight deadlines, and has strong written and verbal skills. The role holder will be able to work well, both independently and in a team environment, and have competency in:

Demonstrate effective communication, both orally and in writing, with colleagues including producing reports, preparing, organising and delivering presentations using appropriate tools and techniques, and taking a leading role in meetings and discussions.
Building Relationships – Able to develop effective relationships with the colleagues and able to respond appropriately to feedback.
Understanding RLDAtix – Aware of the strategies, policies and procedures. Aware of how the organisation operates.
Influencing and Impact – Act in a professional manner and exhibit the required behaviour that should act as an example to other employees. Effective at identifying team goals and objectives and motivating and leading others towards their achievement.

Experience/Knowledge You Will Need:
The candidate would ideally have:
At least 2 to 3 years’ experience as a Scrum Master

Strong understanding of Scrum and Kanban
Experience as a Scrum master or with the agile methodology
