As a Senior Operations Research Engineer in Supply Chain at Micron, you will be responsible for developing and implementing advanced analytics solutions that support Micron's global supply chain strategy and operations. You will work with multi-functional teams to understand business requirements, identify improvement opportunities, and deliver data-driven insights and recommendations. You will also leverage state-of-the-art planning solutions from Blue Yonder/JDA and other tools to model, simulate, and optimize supply chain scenarios and trade-offs. You will be part of a dynamic and collaborative team that values innovation, excellence, and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
Apply operations research techniques such as optimization, simulation, forecasting, machine learning, and data mining to solve supply chain problems and improve decision making
Develop, test, and deploy analytical models and tools that address supply chain challenges such as demand planning, supply planning, inventory management, order promising, network design, and capacity planning
Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their needs, define project scope, and communicate results and recommendations
Conduct data analysis and visualization to generate insights and support decision making
Research and evaluate new technologies and methodologies to enhance supply chain capabilities and performance
Document and present technical findings and best practices to internal and external audiences
Qualifications
PHD degree in Operations Research, Industrial Engineering/Management, Supply Chain, Computer Science, Engineering or related field
5+ years of relevant experience in supply chain analytics, operations research, or related fields
Proficiency in SQL for in-depth data analysis and insights presentation
Experience with programming languages such as Python, R, Java, or C++ for data manipulation and modeling
Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or QlikView for reporting and dashboarding
Knowledge of supply chain concepts, processes, and best practices
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
The US base salary range that Micron Technology estimates it could pay for this full-time position is:
$96,000.00 - $208,000.00
Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries of the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional job-related factors, including knowledge, skills, experience, tenure and relevant education or training. Additional compensation may include benefits, discretionary bonuses and equity.
