School Adjustment Counselor JOB SUMMARY: As aSchool Adjustment Counselor (SAC) with Mill Pond School BerkshireCampus, the right candidate has experience working with children ofvarying presentations and abilities. Equally as important as experiencewith children is the ability to adapt to a fast-paced trauma informedtherapeutic milieu. The SAC is an important part of the school?sleadership team and helps to support each of our students. This includesbut is not limited to meeting with individual students for pre-scheduledor as needed counseling sessions, planning, and facilitating small groupsocial skills lessons in each class, crisis evaluation and management,referring families to outside service providers when appropriate andhelping to write and facilitate social, emotional, and behavioral IEPgoals. The right candidate would be reliable, collaborative, adaptableto changing and flexible schedules and a team player. The rightcandidate must possess an MSW, preferably with a DESE or applicabletherapeutic license or be license eligible. JOB QUALIFICATIONS: -Master\'s degree with a minimum of three years relevant experience. -Requires reliable transportation and a current valid driver?s license. -Ability to work cooperatively and closely with DCF and collateralagencies. - Must have good interpersonal skills and ability to work witha diverse population. - Must have good organizational and communicationskills and be able to manage multiple situations at one time.
