About Schedule/Claim Specialist

  RELYANT Global, LLC Is currently seeking a Schedule/Claim Specialist to perform forensic cost analysis and detailed Cost/Time Impact Analysis (TIA) on ongoing projects and projects in dispute resolution to assist in the analysis, development, quantification, and support of claims associated with contract changes, delays, and other project impacts. This is a full-time exempt position that will be performed out of RELYANT's corporate office in Maryville, Tennessee, with some flexibility for work-from-home arrangements. This position will report directly to the Contracts department but will also work closely with the Operations and Finance teams.

  Major responsibilities of the position are listed below; however, this description is not a comprehensive listing of all activities, duties or responsibilities that are required.

  Responsibilities

  Utilize proposal, contract and accounting system for project and task understanding.

  Utilize Primavera P6 to insert delay activities or changes into an updated schedule representing progress up to the point when a delay event occurred to determine the impact of those delay activities.

  Perform analysis of critical path delay, including assessment of causes of delay.

  Retrieve, review and distribute pre-programmed scheduling reports from P6 along with back-up documentation.

  Development of additional reporting and program files as needed using external software packages in conjunction with P6 such as Excel.

  Collaborate effectively with colleagues from all divisions/disciplines including Contracts team, Finance team, project managers and other project stakeholders.

  Professionally interface with internal stakeholders at various levels of the organization as well as external clientele.

  Possess broad technical and communication skills.

  Assist the Contracts team with compiling Requests for Equitable Adjustment and certified claims under the Contract Disputes Act and make recommendations as appropriate.

  Assist the Contracts team with protecting company's rights to future claims during negotiations and discussions.

  Assist in development of internal controls and policies to identify, monitor, and develop the basis of Requests for Equitable Adjustments and Claims.

  Required Skills and Qualifications

  Bachelor's degree or minimum of 4 years of related experience

  Professional level Primavera P6 or other scheduling software proficiency.

  Previous utility, engineering and/or construction experience using Primavera P6 as a Scheduling tool.

  Strong understanding of Critical Path Method (CPM) and Time Impact Analysis (TIA) methodologies, principles, and applications.

  Experience with Microsoft Office Suite of programs including Excel.

  Strong organizational, communication & collaboration skills.

  Effectively communicate sensitive recommendations to higher management; and build consensus on recommended approaches to managing issues.

  Ability to work independently and utilize analytical skills to identify problems and develop timely solutions.

  Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen (post-accepted offer) and have acceptable background check results.

  Preferred Skills and Qualifications

  Familiarity with government contracting laws, regulations, policies, including FAR, DFARS, DOS regulations.

  Experience with construction, design/build, and architecture and engineering projects.

  Military Experience

  Engineering or construction management degree
