BWXT is currently hiring a Quality Assurance Technician for its Mt. Vernon, IN facility. The QA Technician will work under the direct supervision of the Quality Manager to ensure that all technical and quality requirements of assigned contracts are met and properly documented. This goal will be accomplished by performing the following routine tasks:
Responsible for preparation of quality documents that ensure company and customer quality requirements are met
Review manufacturing documents for completeness and accuracy
Assist with internal and supplier audits to assure customer requirements are being met
Identify problem areas and recommend solutions to audit findings and observations
Organize own work patterns toward accomplishment of stated objectives
Create and revise data sheets, procedures, quality documents etc.
Prepare routine reports, meeting minutes; develop forms for formal external and internal reports and correspondence, etc.
File creation and maintenance
Information research (Code books, vendors, etc.)
Send fax, copy, print documents
Other office related tasks as assigned to support engineering activities
Schedule and coordinate meetings
Prepare purchase requisitions as requested
Job Qualifications/Requirements:
Associates degree (Bachelor's degree preferred) and three years of demonstrated equivalent experience performing the above tasks in a manufacturing environment.
Must be a U.S. citizen with no dual citizenship.
Ability to report to work at an assigned office location in Mt. Vernon, IN. This position does not include a remote work option.

The base salary range for this position in [[stateProvince]] at the start of employment is expected to be between $[[custsalaryMin]] and $[[custsalaryMax]] per year. However, the base salary offered is based on local job market factors, and may vary further depending on factors specific to the selected job candidate, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to these considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, such as an annual cash incentive in addition to a full range of medical, retirement, and/or other benefits.
