LOCATION: San Diego, CA or Charleston, SC. Hybrid – typically 2 – 3 days per week onsite
OVERVIEW
• Joint Tactical Networking Center (JTNC). This position reports to the Software Solutions & Innovations Directorate (SSID) Directorate Lead and Deputy
• G2 Software Systems is the prime on a program called Joint Tactical Networking Center (JTNC) – this DoD group that supports DoD by providing technical expertise for radio communications. Specifically developing standards for radio “waveforms” standardization of key waveform interfaces. There are approximately 60 people on this program.

The portfolio of applications that are currently in the DOD Information Repository (IR) which is a platform that sits on Linux. This Linux platform is being sun-setted over the next 6 months (deadline is 6/30/24). So all of the applications need to transition to one of two places.
Flankspeed - Microsoft, Azure, SharePoint, teams
Joint communications marketplace (JCM) - Which has a Salesforce backend
The government would like for all the applications to go to Flankspeed, but the capabilities and fine details won't allow that to happen with each of the multiple applications in the DOD IR.
In order to move to one of those two platforms, the web applications need to be modified, modernized, so that they can operate and integrate in the new platform.
In addition, the developers need to understand how to move these applications with security in mind.
• Salesforce Developer – backfill for a government employee who is changing roles (but is still on the JTNC program). Developing and customizing Salesforce solutions to meet the organization’s needs. You will play a crucial role in enhancing the functionality and features of our Salesforce CRM platform, ensuring it aligns with business objectives and provides an efficient, user-friendly experience.
JOB DUTIES
• Design and develop customized solutions within the Salesforce platform to support critical business functions and meet project objectives, client requirements, and company goals.
• Collaborate with project managers and other developers to create scalable, efficient solutions on the Salesforce platform.
• Implement Salesforce solutions using Apex, Visualforce, and the Lightning Component Framework.
• Manage daily support and maintenance of internal Salesforce instances and conduct long-term improvement operations to ensure compatibility with evolving mission requirements.
• Communicate with team members and other departments to understand their needs and provide technical solutions in Salesforce.
• Create and maintain detailed documentation including technical specifications, project plans, and deployment guides.
• Conduct unit testing, troubleshooting, and debugging of Salesforce applications.
• Stay updated with new Salesforce features and functionalities to provide recommendations for process improvements.
