　　Description:

　　Processes instruments and other materials for distribution in a timely manner without errors.

　　Properly documents all necessary information and labels items correctly.

　　Follows all Universal Precaution guidelines regarding the handling of contaminated items.

　　Has knowledge of all phases of sterilization including Steam and Sterrad and biological

　　monitoring.

　　Demonstrates the ability to properly use all equipment in SPD (Steam and Sterrad), washingsterilizers, heat sealers, computer system).

　　Assembles a minimum of four instrument trays per hour.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

　　High school diploma or equivalent is required.

　　Graduation from a Central Services Technician course preferred.

　　Minimum of one(1) year of previous experience in this job classification preferred.

　　Knowledge of surgical instrumentation and sterilization is required.

　　Computer knowledge required.

　　Good interpersonal skills necessary

　　Performs all duties of an SPD Tech I.

　　Certification required or obtained within 6 months of employment.
