MandT Fire and Safety is seeking a talented and competitive Sales Representative who thrives in a quick sales environment. This position requires in-person visits and promotion of our Company and our solutions involving equipment and services to fire departments and other customers in western South Dakota and western North Dakota. The ideal candidate currently lives in either South or North Dakotas western area.
TOTAL COMPENSATION: Salaried (D.O.E.) + Commission
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Schedule appointments; meet customers to review customer needs, product and service requirements, and determine other opportunities for a successful relationship.Maintain regular contact with customers and meet with them face-to-face regularly.Generate sales quotes and work with the Purchasing Manager to submit orders. Prepare and submit Bid and RFP packages as required.QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Self-starter with strong attention to detail and analytical ability required.Knowledge of firefighting equipment is preferred.Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Software.Preferred candidates will have 1-year sales and customer service experience with a background in the firefighting industry.LANGUAGE SKILLS: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
EDUCATION: High School Diploma or equivalent, College Degree preferred
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Proven ability to work both independently and in a team environment.Must have the ability to establish and maintain effective customer relationships.Ability to prioritize tasks and work quickly and efficiently.Knowledge of firefighting equipment is preferred.Background in the firefighting industry preferred.Ability to be a self-starter and work from a remote location without direct supervision.Work requires a willingness to work a flexible schedule and occasional overnight travel.
