Safety Coordinator
Department: Quality Assurance
Reports To: Quality Assurance Manager
Position Summary
Adecco is seeking a Safety Coordinator to develop, implement, and monitor safety programs, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company standards. This role involves conducting inspections, managing safety training, overseeing equipment maintenance, and handling OSHA and worker’s compensation communication.
Key Responsibilities
Perform daily safety inspections of plant areas and perimeter, reporting hazards to the Production Manager.
Maintain OSHA logs, file Yearly 301A, and manage worker’s compensation claims.
Conduct safety meetings and manage monthly safety reviews with the Plant Safety Committee.
Enforce safety rules and conduct disciplinary actions as needed.
Develop safety policies and procedures for management approval.
Review safety orientation and training with new and re-hired employees.
Schedule and track inspections and maintenance for all company equipment, including forklifts, cranes, and fire extinguishers.
Ensure equipment certifications are up to date and maintain red tag logs for repairs.
Monitor safety supply levels and ensure visitors wear appropriate attire.
Assist the Quality Assurance Manager and other administrative roles as needed.
Qualifications
Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety programs.
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Ability to maintain records and handle confidential information.
Bilingual (Spanish and English) is a plus.
Pay Details: $19.00 to $20.00 per hour
