RESPONSIBILITIES Provide safety oversight,leadership and direction in the implementation of the Zero Injury Safetyprogram across multiple project sites Lead project management teams indeveloping site specific safety program and activities Identify trainingneeds and conduct safety orientation and training programs, includingtrain-the trainer sessions Review Safety Submittals and attendpreconstruction and preparatory meetings with subcontractors Provideprofessional direction and mentorship to Safety, Senior Safety Engineersand Coordinators Oversee documentation, tracking and analysis of allSafety, Injury and Hazard statistics, trend analyses, and OSHA reportsConduct work area safety audits Conduct or assist with major incidentanalysis Monitor and review subcontractor activities for safety concernsLead Return to Work and Modified Duty program Collaborate with RiskManagement department Review project work plans to ensure safety isadequately incorporated Provide resource of safety related informationEvaluate and offer solutions for industrial hygiene concerns Maintainoperational knowledge of construction safety, OSHA, ANSI, and otherapplicable standards, regulations, laws, and procedures Serve asresource for safety issues or concerns for all project teammembers/operating group management Support Operating Group SafetyDirector and Safety Leadership Team in achieving and maintainingoperating group safety performance metrics Interface with client safetypersonnel, union representatives, industry groups, etc. Accompanysafety, health, insurance and OSHA personnel on work-site tours Ensuremaintenance and inspection of safety equipment and protective wearContribute in the annual review process of operating group safetyengineers as requested QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor\'s degree in safety,occupational health, or equivalent plus Minimum seven years ofconstruction safety experience If no Bachelor\'s degree, high schooldiploma, CHST Certification, OSHA 500 and a minimum of 12 years ofcontinuous construction experience leading crews and planning work, toinclude at least seven years as a dedicated construction safetyprofessional responsible for managing project safety programs,conducting / reviewing hazard analyses and developing controls,conducting safety training, and planning work activities or equivalentexperience in a relevant field.
