  $10,000 Sign-On Bonus to eligible new employees joining UW Medicine Harborview Medical Center has an outstanding opportunity for a Registered Nurse (RN) to work in our Oral Maxillofacial Surgery & Otolaryngology Clinics. WORK SCHEDULE: • Full-time, 100% FTE, 40 hours per week• M-F 0800-1630

  DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION: Harborview’s 4-West Clinics RN provides complex nursing assessments; telephone triage; and other related RN2-level duties. Provide comprehensive diagnosis and treatment of a wide variety of problems relating to the mouth, teeth, head neck and facial regions. These conditions include impacted teeth, oral pathology, facial trauma, head and neck infections, reconstruction, metastatic carcinomas, maxillofacial reconstruction/implants, dentofacial deformities, temporomandibular joint disorders, and teeth extractions. Support and assist with conscious sedations. This position will float between OMFS and Otolaryngology.

  PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: • Management of patient care, providing medical advice in both urgent and routine situations, and serving as a source of back-up expertise for DAs, MAs and PSSs• Assist the provider in performance of procedures, and as an independent provider of certain RN procedures. Center and the principles of quality improvement and patient safety.• Provide direct care and assist in delivering preventive client-focused health services including assessment, education, intervention and counseling related to health maintenance and other assigned duties.• Coordinates care for a group of patients, including the key element of continuity of care.

  REQUIREMENTS: • Active, valid Washington State RN license required by start date.• Degree in Nursing from an accredited school of nursing• Two (2) years of Professional Nursing Experience• BLS and ACLS certification required by start date
