Compensation:
Associate Transit Management Analyst- $86,565- $112,083
Assistant Transit Management Analyst II- $76,577-$85,288
Assistant Transit Management Analyst I- $65,954-$78,079
Responsibilities:
The selected candidate will be required to support engineering activities within the Track Engineering office, have a New York State Driver's License and be able to workday and/or night shifts depending on the needs of the office. Responsibilities will include: assisting in design and construction of railway projects of various sizes and complexities (mainly track work and track switch design in accordance with NYCT standards and procedures; performing surveys using topographical instruments; drafting using CADD; designing and reviewing engineering drawings and writing contract specifications and reports; and, assisting in providing field technical support by performing visual inspections and preparing construction drawings.
Education and Experience:
Associate Transit Management Analyst
A master's degree from an accredited college in business administration, public administration, public policy, engineering technology, economics, architecture, mathematics, physics, computer science, finance, accounting, transportation planning, industrial psychology, urban planning/studies, human resources management, labor relations, operations research, security management or in a related area, and two (2) years of full time satisfactory professional experience in the collection, evaluation and use of data relating to operational procedures, administrative systems, equipment and space utilization, and staffing requirements, including the preparation of charts, graphs, drawings and technical reports. One year of experience must have been in the transportation industry; or
A bachelor's degree from an accredited college in one of the areas listed above and three (3) years of full-time related experience, of which one (1) year must have been in the transportation industry; or
Assistant Transit Management Analyst: I - II.
A master's degree from an accredited college in business administration, public administration, public policy, engineering, engineering technology, economics, architecture, mathematics, physics, computer science, finance, accounting, transportation planning, industrial psychology, urban planning/studies, human resources management, labor relations, operations research, security management or in a related area, and one (1) year of satisfactory full-time professional experience in the collection, evaluation and use of data relating to operational procedures, administrative systems, equipment and space utilization, and staffing requirements, including the preparation of charts, graphs, drawings and technical reports; or
A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in one of the areas listed in ‘1’ above; and two years of satisfactory full-time professional experience as described in ‘1’ above.
Desired Skills
Familiar with Track Design and/or Construction.
Knowledge of Material test reports interpretation.
Selection Method:
Based on evaluation of education, skills, experience, and interview.
All appointments, with the exception of the Department of Subways employees on MABSTOA payroll, will be made on the NYCT payroll.
